income versus expense

Business has been slow lately. It may have something to do with the economy, or it may be something else. I'm still two years too new to know for sure. how do you feel about expired groceries?

Recently, a new grocery store opened up. Being in such a small town, this is a really big deal for us. We decided some time ago to try and do most (if not all) of our shopping at the local mom-and-pop store and the farmer's market, even though there is a Wal-Mart only ten miles away. Sometimes we have to go to Wal-Mart for non-food items that we can't find in town, but with the cost of gas, I've started to rely more on the internet instead of driving the twenty mile roundtrip.  read more »

let the fighting begin

This summer has been very difficult for me so far. As a stay at home, work at home dad, I'm accustomed to keeping my son occupied for several time spans throughout the day, all the while trying to sneak in the occasional web programming project. It's not easy, and I often end up making up for my divided attention during the day by working late at night.  read more »
